South Mountain YMCA is the perfect setting for a valuable and enjoyable outdoor educational experience, family camping weekend, girl/boy scout camping, retreat or employee and management training experience. Situated on 500 beautiful mountaintop acres, South Mountain allows participants to leave the regular distractions of the daily routine and enter a world that is conducive to learning, growth and relaxation. Conveniently located 12 miles west of Reading, PA South Mountain enjoys a history of serving people who value the outdoor experience since 1948.

If you are looking for an educational and enjoyable outdoor experience for your group, Camp Conrad Weiser Outdoor Center is the place for you. Operating spring and fall, we are a premiere outdoor education, conferencing and camping facility. Our outdoor education programs have been providing exciting, educational and enlightening outdoor experiences for students of all ages for over 15 years. Our dedication to delivering a hands-on “living” curriculum is based on the Pennsylvania State Academic Standards and our core concepts of spirit, mind and body. Our Outdoor Education Programs promote self-respect, respect for others and respect for the environment. The program encourages young people to work together as they experience hands-on education. Programs may be customized for individual needs.
