Reach Out for Youth

Our annual appeal to help today's youth enjoy the programs of
Camp Conrad Weiser, Bynden Wood Day Camp, The Camp Conrad Weiser Outdoor Center

Camp Traditions and Opportunities

Since 1948, YMCA Camp Conrad Weiser has been at the heart of building strong kids, strong families, strong communities. Today, Camp Conrad Weiser Outdoor Center serves over 7,000 participants from March through November. In addition to our traditional summer resident camp and Bynden Wood day camping program we also offer spring and fall Outdoor Education, new Family Weekends and Group Conferencing.

As participants in our camping programs, children and teens are connected with caring role models, who help instill the YMCA's Core Character values.

Your support of Camp Conrad Weiser Outdoor Center’s programs at the South Mountain YMCA will touch the heart and souls of youth and teens and prepare them to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Levels of Giving

A $100 gift will provide over half the fee for a child to attend Bynden Wood Day Camp and spend time in fun, rewarding activities outdoors and away from the city.

A $250 gift will help pay for two children to experience hands–on learning about being good stewards of our environment at Camp Conrad Weiser’s Outdoor Education program.

A $500 donation will provide a child with a one week resident camp scholarship, where he or she will gain respect for others, build friendships and learn new skills in the value rich environment at Camp Conrad Weiser.

A $1,000 contribution will send a teen on our two week adventure based resident camping program, which promotes the importance of teamwork as they are challenged by participating in activities like our high ropes course.

We need your help to succeed in our mission of shaping young lives for positive growth. Once again, we turn to you for assistance in this important work. We ask that you invest in our Reach Out For Youth Campaign. The dollars raised will:

· keep our camping and outdoor education programs affordable for all.

· provide financial assistance to disadvantaged children.

· enable us to continue to provide quality programs that meet the needs of today’s youth.
