BYNDEN WOOD RETURNS TO “THE MOUNTAIN” FOR 2007

Bynden Wood StageA free community concert series event, Bynden Wood began nearly 50 years ago, giving talented young musicians the opportunity to perform for an audience each summer. The concert series ended in the 1980's and was successively revived by the Reading Musical Foundation and South Mountain YMCA in 2003. All guest artists graciously donate their performances at Bynden Wood in an effort to draw attention to the importance of supporting young student musicians in our community.

People attending the concert are asked to bring lawn chairs, as bench seating is limited at South Mountain YMCA. Handicapped parking and modern restroom facilities are available. Special needs bus and seating arrangements can be made by calling South Mountain YMCA at 610-670-2267.

In case of inclement weather the concert will be moved to Conrad Weiser High School, Route 422, Robesonia. Listen to WEEU or call the Reading Musical Foundation at 610-376-3395 for details.

The Bynden Wood Concert Series is made possible due to a partnership between the Reading Musical Foundation and South Mountain YMCA.
